ZKTeco Fingerprint FR1200

The ZKTeco FR1200 is an outdoor-rated fingerprint reader with an RS485 communication interface, designed to work alongside ZKTeco biometric access control panels and standalone terminals, including the inBIO series and models like the F8. The reader captures a fingerprint, converts it into a secure template, and transmits the data to the access control panel for matching and access decision-making.

At its core is a compact ZK optical fingerprint sensor running the ZKFinger VX10.0 algorithm, delivering fast and accurate identification — the entire process, from placing a finger to unlocking the door, takes less than 1.5 seconds. The reader also supports RFID card verification, with 125kHz ID card support included as standard and optional 13.56MHz IC card (Mifare) compatibility. Data transmitted between devices is protected with AES128 encryption, which can be disabled via software if needed for specific deployments.

Rated IP65, the FR1200 is resistant to moisture, dust, and harsh weather conditions, making it suitable for both indoor and outdoor installation. Its compact, flush-mount design allows for easy installation at entrances, gates, and checkpoints. Operation is guided entirely by light and beep prompts, requiring no screen or keypad.
